Fate Priests: Unveiling the Threads of Destiny
A unique subset of priests known as Fate Priests or Fate Tellers have emerged. Masters of a specialized craft, these individuals delve into the intricate tapestry of fate itself, wielding a mystical deck known as the Fate Deck to reveal the destinies that lie ahead for those who seek it.
In the World of Zin, Fate Priests devoutly serve the revered Goddess Rema, yet find themselves marginalized on the fringes of society. The trepidation of tempting the will of the gods deters many from seeking an unaltered glimpse into destiny. Fate Priests, often regarded as outcasts, assume the roles of entertainers and enigmatic fortunetellers, meandering through fairs and circuses. Regrettably, their sacred insights are commonly dismissed as mere passing amusement, not to be taken seriously.

However, within the tapestry of skepticism, a cadre of believers emerges, staunchly embracing the cosmic dance of stars and their celestial alignment. For these fervent individuals, Fate Priests are revered as skilled weavers of destiny, capable of influencing the course of future decisions. The astrology enthusiasts among the populace hold steadfast to the belief that the enigmatic powers of fate can sway the intricate threads of their lives, and thus, they seek out the wisdom of these fate weavers with unwavering faith.

The Deck of Destiny
At the heart of a Fate Priest's power lies the enigmatic Fate Deck, a collection of cards each imbued with cosmic significance. Most Fate Priests initially wield the Low Deck, a set of 21 cards, each symbolizing different aspects of fortune and misfortune. As these priests ascend in power and insight, they gain access to the High Deck, drawing specific cards with purpose and unlocking even deeper layers of prophetic knowledge.

Boons and Banes
When seekers approach a Fate Priest, they submit themselves to the whims of destiny. Drawing cards from the Fate Deck, the priest unveils a tale of potential boons or banes awaiting the petitioner. The outcomes are as diverse as the cards themselves, ranging from unexpected windfalls to impending calamities. The art of the Fate Priest lies in interpreting the symbolic language of the cards to convey the message of fate to those who seek enlightenment.

Divine Blessings
When a Fate Priest successfully plays cards from their Fate Deck, they are believed to be blessed by their deity. This blessing enhances their mystical abilities, making their readings more potent and accurate. The alignment of the cards with the divine will of their chosen deity reinforces the priest's connection to the cosmic forces that govern fate.

Wandering Mystics and Courtly Seers
Fate Priests often lead itinerant lives, traveling from village to village, town to town, and court to court. Seeking payment for their services, they unfold the destinies of those who dare to ask. While some dismiss them as mere charlatans, others recognize the profound insights they offer. Nobles and kings may invite Fate Priests into their courts to forebode impending dangers, acting as advisors in the delicate dance of politics and power.

Skepticism and Unveiled Truths
Despite their mysterious talents, skepticism surrounds Fate Priests. Critics argue that their predictions are mere superstition, subjective interpretations open to manipulation or outright falsehood. Yet, the undeniable accuracy of some Fate Tellers has left many in awe, challenging the very foundations of what is known. The unsettling realization that fate may indeed be influenced by these mystical practitioners can drive both men and women to the brink of madness.

Player Engagement
To deepen the immersive experience, players are encouraged to use a physical deck of cards during gameplay. Collaborating with the Game Master, players can draw cards to determine the fate of their characters, adding an element of unpredictability and excitement to their journey.

In a world where destiny is both elusive and malleable, Fate Priests stand as conduits between mortals and the cosmic forces that shape their lives. Whether embraced or shunned, their enigmatic presence weaves a narrative that transcends the ordinary, inviting adventurers to confront the threads of destiny that bind them.
