  • Natural Weapon(s):
  • Bite (d1)

With a relatively large head occupying a third of its squat length, the badger appears non-threatening. However, persistent tales recount their ferocity in den defense, emphasizing their savage bite and the formidable power of their digging claws when applied to flesh instead of soil. Despite their unassuming appearance, badgers command respect for their hidden ferocious capabilities.

Badgers are short-legged omnivores in the family Mustelidae (which also includes the otters, wolverines, martens, minks, polecats, weasels, and ferrets). Badgers are a polyphyletic grouping, and are not a natural taxonomic grouping: badgers are united by their squat bodies, adapted for fossorial activity. All belong to the caniform suborder of carnivoran mammals.
