The act of inspecting or viewing, especially carefully or critically, usually involving the
Encounter.
Usually requires touch or being within reach of the
Target.
Usually against a fixed
DC as a
Hidden Roll.
Every creature has this as a passive, meaning, they come within the caster's
Reach (mostly 5ft) from the edge of the image/model's edges in all directions to a hidden object, at all times during a move.
This passive check triggers as a secret roll, and only ONE time (unlike attention rolls against creatures who must keep re-hiding each turn to remain hidden within the passive range). Hidden secret doors, traps, or other hidden inventory remains hidden.
The caster can manually search for something, can describe it to the GM, and make a manual
Inspection skill roll vs the DC if something is hidden then. This inspection roll is considered private, so it is still hidden to the player to prevent metagaming.
