Initially mistaken for a stone protrusion, it wriggles to life. Hook-tipped tentacles, resembling a head, unfurl like a blooming flower to expose a beak akin to a blacksmith's pinching tongs. The body, a hybrid of squid, snake, and slug, sports pebbly skin rippling with surprising speed, defying expectations and transforming a seemingly inert form into an amalgamation of uncanny, mobile elements.

Gricks are wormlike ambush predators that camouflage among rocks in caves and caverns, unfurling four barbed tentacles and a snapping beak to seize prey.
