Kobolds bear resemblance to dragons in their scales and possess a limited form of draconic power.

Kobolds are found in various lands, and their relationship with dragons varies. In some regions, they serve chromatic or metallic dragons, even considering them as divine entities worthy of worship. They may act as loyal minions, carrying out their dragon masters' commands. However, in other areas, kobolds are all too aware of the destructive nature of dragons and instead align themselves with other races to protect against draconic threats.

The scales of kobolds typically have a rust-colored hue, but occasionally, an individual kobold may possess scales reminiscent of chromatic or metallic dragons, reflecting their lineage. Despite their small stature, kobolds possess a distinctive cry that conveys a wide range of emotions, including anger, determination, joy, fear, and more. This cry resonates with a hint of draconic power, a testament to their draconic ancestry.

Kobolds are often depicted as cunning and resourceful creatures. Due to their small size and physical limitations, they rely on their wit, traps, and ambush tactics to overcome larger opponents. They excel at mining and craftsmanship, often constructing intricate tunnels and traps in their subterranean homes. Kobold society tends to be hierarchical, with a strong emphasis on obedience and hierarchy, often led by a powerful kobold chief or shaman.

Shorter than a halfling but of similar build, this orange-skinned humanoid has a reptilian head with pointed, dog-like ears. It wears a clay pot as a hat or helmet, through which it has broken holes for its ears, while in its hand it wields a dagger big enough to serve it like a short sword.
