Climbing Piton
Pitons are vital climbing tools, serving as anchors in rocky terrains. They offer stability and safety during ascents, but misuse can damage the environment. Proper placement and removal techniques are crucial. Pitons vary in size and material, impacting durability and weight. Mastering their usage enhances adventurers' agility and endurance.
Each of these soft iron spikes has a broad head, a tapered but blunt point, and a flat aspect like a blade. Perpendicular to the flat side, as part of each piton’s head, is a loop. This eye is big enough for thick rope to be threaded through.
