Uttering words, tracing ethereal runes, time unfolds—minutes cascade into nearly an hour. The jewel fragments, a fleeting brilliance. With a resonant hum, the incantation concludes. The creature is tethered to this plane, if only temporarily.

The gem morphs into celestial shackles, sinew and stars intertwining. One clasps my wrist; I hurl the other at the extraplanar being. It resists but succumbs, the shackle securing its form. Relief floods me as I draw the chain, beckoning, "Come, duty awaits."
