Sap, Witherwood

The sap of the witherwood tree is black and thick with a sweet, but rotten, smell. Simply working with it is a difficult process, as it sticks to everything and leaves a burning sensation where it touches bare skin. Such a thing is generally only sought out by those who seek to do harm, given the sap’s poisonous nature and its mysterious ability to drain blood from creatures.
