Akin to a bat compared to a bird, this creature mimics humanity but distorts proportions and features. Mottled skin, resembling gray marble, conceals a pinched face adorned with tiny eyes, gaping nostrils, and huge, independently twitching ears. Large hands, situated at the ends of overly long forearms, clutch a vicious-looking club. Its humanoid semblance betrays a disconcerting deviation from familiar anatomy.

Grimlocks, once humans corrupted by worship, devolved into blind, cannibalistic hunters in the Deep Roads. Their acute hearing, smell, and infravision compensate for lost sight, making them immune to visual illusions. They raid the surface for sacrifices, perpetuating an eternal war against former victims.
