This roll of oiled cloth doubles as a cooking apron. Wrapped in it are a tin bowl and plate, a small iron pot and skillet, a little cutting board, and a mortar and pestle. Its pockets store a few knives in sheathes, a cleaver, a ladle, a turner, a bristle brush, spoons of several shapes and materials, and kitchen shears. Tied to the apron is a sharpening file.
