Ethan was born with a deep curiosity for the arcane. His father, a quiet but brilliant necromancer, raised him with respect for life—and the balance between life and death. Under his father's mentorship, Ethan learned that necromancy wasn't inherently evil; it was a tool, like any other, shaped by intention.
But one day, everything changed.
While studying a summoning glyph, Ethan caught a glimpse of his father's eyes—pure black, empty as the void. His father was no longer fully mortal. He was a lich.
Before Ethan could ask questions, his father spoke a few cryptic words, placed a protective rune on Ethan’s chest, and opened a planar gate—shoving him through. Ethan landed in the Feywild, disoriented and alone.
Now stranded in a plane of wild magic and illusions, Ethan is determined to uncover the truth about his father’s transformation. As he wanders, he spots a group of adventurers in the distance, perhaps his first allies in this strange land.
You stand in a clearing surrounded by dense trees. A smoldering fire crackles, its embers pulsing red. Bedrolls lie scattered on trampled grass, the scent of damp earth thick. A battered iron pot hangs above the coals.
