Beads of this cloudy gray oil form on the outside of its container and quickly evaporate.

The oil can cover a Medium or smaller creature, along with the equipment it's wearing and carrying (one additional vial is required for each size category above Medium).

Applying the oil takes 10 minutes.

The affected creature then gains the effect of the Etherealness spell for 1 hour.

Inspecting the bottle closely, wisps of what looks like thick steam leak now and again around the cork, only to evaporate more quickly than you would expect. The pearl-gray bottle is completely opaque, though you swear that you can see straight through it when the steam passes over the bottle’s neck.

I Drink an Oil of Etherealness
I check my kit, noting the seams and textures that will require extra attention. After ten minutes of careful work dipping my fingers into the jar, applying the oil, and dripping it onto my back where I can’t reach, I finally lift each boot and coat the soles. Then I step into the border ethereal, the penumbral realm from which I see the colorful world as if it were etched on a tin sheet.
