Fallen Temple of Idris
Portal Chamber
You step into a vast, circular chamber dominated by a massive pentagram etched into the floor. The pentagram is filled with intricate Abyssal runes that pulse with the chaotic energy of the leyline running beneath the temple. The air is thick with the acrid smell of burning sulfur, and faint flickers of red and blue energy spark from the pentagram's edges, illuminating the room in bursts of eerie light.
At the center of the pentagram, a faint portal to the Abyss shimmers, unstable and fractured. Shadows writhe within it, shifting and swirling as though alive, and whispers emanate from its depths—promises of power, vengeance, and destruction. The whispers grow louder as you approach, clawing at the edges of your mind.
Around the perimeter of the room stand four stone pillars, each engraved with more Abyssal runes. The leylines running through the temple converge at the base of the pillars, their energy flowing toward the portal. The chamber feels alive, pulsing with dark power.
