Ascension Skill Point
Term

Ascension Skill Points ( ASP) are reserved only for Player Characters. When a player rolls ANY Skill Roll during the game, and if the Main Roll is a Natural 20, the system rolls another with no modifiers. If the result equal or greater than the skill tier being used, the player gains an Ascension Skill Point. The idea is to gain a skill roughly 3-5% of the time a player rolls a meaningful skill roll.

These are extra points that a PC can gain by adventuring doing Skills which progress while interacting with the story or adventure.

Dev Note:
Skill Rolls should be made when it is meaningful or is material to the outcome of the adventure. An example is rolling Attention Skill Rolls every 5 mins, or in every room to see if someone is Hidden. This pads the chance the PC can gain an ASP.

In my experience this is typically not an issue, but you can perhaps roll a as a secret roll if you feel this mechanic is being abused with stuffed Skill Rolls.

The Spirit of this idea stems from Skyrim, as a player plays the game, they gain Skill Points in Skills they use.
