There are many Skills which allow you to interact with the world. Each still is categorized into a Skill type which typically use different Essences as the Essence Roll used in calculating Roll Result.

Some are Innate Skills which every creature possesses a basic Skill, or minor Skill tier in.

Others, like blacksmithing, require more training. Without this training a creature would roll with DIS when trying to perform this Skill.

A character can gain training in a Skill to increase their Skill tier. Thus increasing the Skill Roll in calculating a Roll Result.
