Somatic Spell Component
Term

Somatic Spell components refer to the physical gestures and movements that a spellcaster must perform to cast a Spell. These intricate and often precise movements are a key aspect of the spellcasting process, adding a layer of realism and immersion to the game.

Players should describe their character's actions as they perform these somatic components, which can Range from hand gestures and intricate dance-like motions to symbolic movements corresponding to the spell's effect.

Somatic components create an additional layer of role-playing depth, requiring players to consider their character's physical capabilities and the potential limitations they might face, such as wearing armor, which can restrict their Ability to cast Spells.

When Restrained, you cannot cast Spells using Somatic Spell Components. This is why often handcuffing or chaining spellcasters, as well as gagging them, prevents them from Casting Spells.
