Pickpocket
Ability

After you successfully Rummage Pockets or another ability to access a creatures On Hand inventory, you can attempt to steal from them.

This is done by simply dropping and dragging inventory from the Target's On Hand inventory, to your character profile, or on hand inventory.

Each time you attempt to steal inventory, or a stack of inventory from a creature, you make a Sneak vs. Attention. The target could gain a modifier it its Attention of the Target, depending on two factors:

  1. Weight of the inventory, or inventory stack
  2. Stealing a pouch of coins, or group of coins is harder than stealing a single coin
  3. The Modifier increases go by this logic:
  4. 0-3 lbs: +0
  5. 4-6 lbs: +2
  6. 7-10 lbs: +4
  7. And +2 modifier there after for each 3 pounds of total weight.
  8. The size of the inventory
  9. If the inventory is larger, it is harder to steal with a subtle hand.
  10. For each size above Tiny for the inventory type, the modifer increase by +5
  11. Example: Pickpocketing a medium size inventory from a Fire Giant Roamer means the Attention Modifier is +10.

Upon Failure:

  1. You fail to steal the item, and the Target knows you tried to steal from them.

Upon Success:

  1. You successful move the inventory from the Target's on hand inventory to your hand or on hand inventory.

You eye the target's sagging pocket, heavy with a clinking pouch. Its medium bulk, outlined in taut leather, dares your subtle hand to slip it free, unnoticed, into your waiting grasp.
