Simianfolks
Creature Sub Type

Deep within a forgotten mountain range lies a hidden valley once known as the Cherry Vale—a sanctuary of endless spring where pink petals drifted like snow and mist curled between jagged peaks. For countless generations, the Simianfolk lived there in harmony, protected by sheer cliffs and winding passes that few outsiders could survive.

Physical Appearance

Simianfolk are tall, powerfully built humanoid apes, standing between 6 and 8 feet tall. Their fur ranges from ash-gray and dusk-brown to ember-red and deep obsidian. Many bear ritual markings, scars, or war paint—often in crimson or gold.

Notable features:

  1. Long, expressive tails used for balance and emotion.
  2. Powerful arms and hands capable of crushing stone or wielding weapons with deadly grace.
  3. Sharp eyes, often glowing faintly when channeling mystic energy.
  4. Elongated canines and strong jaws, giving them a fearsome presence.

Despite their bestial appearance, their faces show deep emotion, wisdom, and resolve.

Culture of the Scattered Clans

With the fall of their homeland, the Simianfolk no longer live as one nation. They now form wandering clans, each adapting to the lands they settle in.

Spiritual Beliefs

The Simianfolk believe the world is watched by ancient mountain spirits called the High Ancestors. These spirits are said to have shaped the first Simianfolk from stone and flame.

Cherry blossoms are sacred symbols of life, loss, and rebirth. Every fallen Simianfolk is honored by planting a tree wherever possible—even in foreign lands.
