The Polypollex Curse causes all the victim’s digits to become thumbs. This radically decreases the victim’s manual
Body when using its hands, resulting in a most
Body Skill checks and
Contesting Rolls, as well as any actions not based on
Body but in which the hands are required to execute the skill successfully – for example, using the
Influence skill to play an instrument or the
Endurance or
Balance
Skill Roll to climb a wall.
If the Target is a spellcaster, it must make a
DC 10 check each time it casts a
Spell with a somatic component; if this check fails, the
Spell is ruined and has no effect.
The Polypollex Curse is considered a
Polymorph effect and can be negated with
Dispel Magic or
Wish Fulfillment. If the victim uses a
Polymorph effect to assume a different shape, the effects of the polypollex
Curse are suppressed for the duration of that effect.
You see your fingers transform into thumbs, awkward and clumsy. Simple tasks become difficult; your hands struggle with anything delicate or precise. Each spell requiring gestures is a gamble, often failing due to your uncooperative digits.
