The max spells known by a caster type is:
Full Caster : ceil(total class caster level / 2) + class spellcasting 
Essence 
Half Caster: ceil(total hal caster level / 4) + class spellcasting Essence- Each one has a minimum of 1 castable spell, if the class spellcasting essence is too low or negative (in lower levels), sometimes coming up in multiclass edge cases.
