During periods of downtime, a Player Character can utilize their acquired wealth to invest in their
Skills through training. It is important to note that the trainer must possess a
Skill level equal to or higher than the PC's desired level. Finding a high-level trainer may prove challenging, and some trainers may require additional incentives, such as completing a quest or task, before they agree to train the
PC.
Learning a Skill requires time, the baseline time for any
Skill Point is 1 week (or 10 days) in game time.
Creatures with higher Mind can more easily train in
Skills, spending less gold and time to acquire
Skill Points. For each point of positive
Mind
Reduce Target the total cost and time by 10%.
Gold is a much more valuable resource for PCs to acquire to customize their character and give opportunity in downtime to learn new
Skills.
The table below acts as a guide for Skill Point Training for the
GM to use during downtime.
Keep in mind that training at higher levels costs more. The side training cost calculated during character creation is merely an estimate, assuming all skill points were trained at the lowest level.
