The smooth polished wood is pulled into the graceful arc of a bow. The length is almost unwieldy, approaching your full height. The powerful pole of curved timber is bound by a taut bowstring. A soft, leather grip sits just below a small notch at the apex of the curve which guides the arrow at the start of its journey to the target.
