Nine of these magical golden rings were crafted by the Queen Below’s master smith and blessed by the queen herself. They allow the wearer to pass through special interplanar portals crafted by servants of the Queen Below. Such portals are referred to as Queen’s Doors and are generally closed and nonfunctioning until opened by fey magic or a Ring of Passing.
The rings were originally given to the Nine, dark servants of the Queen Below, but when the Nine fell in the War of Queens, the rings were lost. Legend has it that anyone returning a Ring of Passing to the Queen Below would be knighted and stand at her side as a new Knight of the Nine.
Anyone wearing this ring can use an action to activate a Queen’s Door and travel between the Fey Plane and the Material Plane.
The ring cannot be removed and passed through a Queen’s Door while not being worn. This prevents multiple characters from using Queen’s Doors to travel into the Fey Plane, unless each is in the possession of their own Ring of Passing.
A gleaming golden band etched with intricate fey runes. Its surface shimmers faintly, warm to the touch, with a subtle emerald glow pulsing from its inner edge.
