Feathers rustle like dry leaves in the wind, an eagle's talons scraping stone as it perches high. Sharp beak parts, emitting a piercing chirp that slices the air, wings half-unfurling in tawny gold and white. The sound echoes off crags, a shrill call vibrating through your bones, summoning the wild's untamed gaze.
Eagle chirplings are the largest and most powerful of chirplings. Their claws are deadly, and one can occasionally see them carrying man-sized prey through the air. Even so much as catching an eagle chirpling is a challenge; their speed as they soar through the skies is otherworldly.
This family of fey creatures each resemble various types of birds. To the untrained eye, their movements and actions might appear chaotic and random; in truth, they’re often cunningly coordinated. An individual chirpling isn’t necessarily a large threat as they’re only marginally stronger than the average person, but when they gather into flocks, they can rain terror down on the unsuspecting.
