The chains rattle as it approaches, its once friendly and noble demeanor replaced by a savage look. It charges with reckless abandon, eyes wild and muscles bulging.
Overview
The Grizzly Slave Soldier is a tragic figure in the world of fantasy, a once proud member of the Grizzlyfolk, now reduced to a tool of war by their hated enemies, the Hobgoblins. Captured and enslaved, these mighty beings are forced to fight against their will, their spirits broken but their physical prowess undiminished.
Appearance
Grizzly Slave Soldiers are imposing figures, towering over most other races. Covered in thick fur that comes in shades of white, black, or brown, they bear the marks of their captivity: heavy chains and shackles, scars from cruel whips, and the haunted look of those who have suffered greatly. Despite their captivity, their eyes still burn with a fierce, primal energy, hinting at the indomitable spirit that lies within.
Origins
Hailing from the far northern regions where frost never melts, the Grizzlyfolk are a bear-like beastling race known for their hospitality and strength. However, the relentless raids by Hobgoblins have led to many being captured and enslaved. The Hobgoblins, recognizing the raw power of the Grizzlyfolk, break their spirits and force them into servitude as Slave Soldiers.
Environments:
Beastlings are animalistic creatures that walk upright but are typically more intelligent than their
Beast counterpart.
They could have come from a cruel joke by a God, or a terrible Wizard experiment gone wrong. Whole communities, or cities of
Beastlings could exist in campaign.
They do not look Humanoid, and look like a large animal which walks upright. This could mean that other creatures of the campaign world treat them as a
Beast, the
GM could decide to have
